Your role and responsibilities
ABB's Drive Products Division is establishing a new, modern Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Genk, Belgium. The RDC will operate in partnership with a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider, and we are now looking for a Production Planner to support this new location.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and controlling the production of frequency converters within a global manufacturing network. You will ensure product and material availability, manage production schedules, and contribute to delivering customer orders on time and in full. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will play an essential part in the continuous development of our order-to-delivery processes.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Planning and scheduling the production work queue to meet customer delivery expectations while supporting inventory optimization.
Analyzing and consolidating production data from multiple sources to support efficient capacity utilization and proactive decision making.
Acting as the main production interface for customer service teams and fulfilment leads (planning managers) regarding product availability and delivery-related topics.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of order-to-delivery processes, tools, and ways of working-both internally and in close collaboration with the 3PL team.

Qualifications for the role
Strong understanding of production operations, planning principles, and logistics processes.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and make informed, data-based decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and stakeholder groups.
Proficiency with production planning tools as well as WMS and ERP systems.
Experience working with 3PL partners or logistics service providers is considered an advantage.
A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience is equally valued.
Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
