packers herring - day shift - evergem

We are a leading fish processing company located in Evergem, specializing in packaging delicious herring. To strengthen our production team, we are looking for enthusiastic packers who want to grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Placing herring into jars/buckets
• Jars/buckets pass through the machine, automatically receiving a lid, vinegar/onions, and a sticker
• At the end of the production line, jars/buckets are packed into cardboard boxes and sorted onto pallets
• Ensuring the workspace is clean and tidy at the end of the day

Working Hours:
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Fridays: 6:00 AM - 12:15 PM

What do we expect from you?

• Be flexible to switch workplaces if necessary.
• It is important that you can count/read/write + check dates.
• You can easily get to Evergem with your own transport (car, bicycle, moped, scooter).
• You have an affinity with the food industry and are willing to work in a refrigerated environment (5-6 degrees).
• You have an eye for detail and work accurately.
• Hygiene and food safety are of paramount importance to you.
• You do NOT wear piercings,makeup, excessive perfume/deodorant, nail polish, henna, false eyelashes, jewelry, etc.
• You understand that eating, chewing gum, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited in the production area.
• You are a team player and can work well with colleagues.
• You speak Dutch, English, or French.
• Experience in a similar position is a plus, but not a requirement.
