Air Freight Planner
Description de la fonction
You will be responsible for planning and managing airfreight bookings within the BRU HUB. You calculate shipment volumes, prepare quotations, and ensure optimal capacity management.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Daily coordination and optimization of airfreight capacity within the BRU HUB
- Monitoring market trends and proposing volume steering or capacity adjustments when required
- Negotiating with airlines to secure competitive ad hoc rates and optimal shipping conditions
- Handling booking requests from customers and suppliers in a timely and accurate manner
- Managing capacity increases, reductions, and cancellations
- Following up on irregularity reports and planning-related issues
- Ensuring timely handover of clear instructions to Operations, Warehouse, Handlers, and Road departments
- Booking shipments via various platforms, including CargoWeb and other digital systems
Profil
We are looking for a motivated professional with strong airfreight expertise and a proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of airfreight forwarding
- Experience with airfreight consolidation (ULD and flight level)
- Strong communication skills (English is a must, other languages are a plus)
- Operationally strong with good analytical abilities
- Creative, service-oriented, and financially aware
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Stress-resistant, flexible, and adaptable
- Good understanding of airfreight security regulations
- Customer-focused with a drive to exceed expectations
