MATERIAL PLANNER
Job description
Key responsibilities:
- You execute the purchase order to ensure the availability of parts, equipment, and information in accordance with the requirements schedule and contribute to improving profitability.
- You process the purchase requests and supplier orders
- You validate Purchase Requests according to the launch dates proposed by the ERP (integrated management system)
- You track supplier orders from dispatch to delivery of the items concerned
- You do the follow up with suppliers: anticipate deliveries - reschedule deadlines and you manage subcontracting purchase orders
- You daily update the database for managing blocking shortages and you participate and communicate shortage-related information during daily meetings
- You contribute to the drafting of Logistics Specifications and ensure the update and consistency of ERP parameters specified in these specifications (batch size, safety lead time, firm period, etc...)
- You implement necessary action plans in coordination with Purchasing and SQA functions
- You calculate and share performance rates (KPIs) related to various tasks of the "material planners" team (e.g., supplier OTD, late acknowledgments, etc...)
Profile
Who are you?
To successfully perform the above tasks and responsibilities as a Material Planner, you have a Bachelor's degree in logistics/production or equivalent experience in an industrial role. You have a operational level of MS Office and a good knowledge of ERP/SAP. You have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to communicate with internal and external suppliers. You have negotiation skills with suppliers (lead times, packaging, etc...) and you have some understanding of Supply Chain flows and processes. You speak fluent English and you understand Dutch. Additionally, you have a proactive attitude and possess analytical skills.
