Microsoft Power BI is a powerful tool for visualizing data and creating interactive reports. During this course you'll learn how to import, edit and combone data from various sources to create dynamic visualizations and dashboards. Whether you're working with Excel, SharePoint, or SQL databases, Power BI offers numerous ways to make your data insightful.

In this course you will:

• Learn to understand the different components and basic usage of Power BI.
• Learn how to import data from various sources such as Excel, SharePoint and SQL.
• Link data sources and create relationships for an effiecient data model.
• Learn the importance of date tables and how to create them.
• Visualize data and create reports within Power BI.
• Publish and and share reports via Power BI Online.

• General explanation of Power BI: what you see on the screen, which layers you are working with, which workflow you use in Power BI...
• Importing data: in this training course, we will first teach you how to import data from Excel files and CSV/TXT files.
• Formatting and structuring data: you will learn how to prepare and clean up data neatly. We do this with the Power Query component. The power of this component is that all the operations you perform are saved. When you refresh your data model, all operations are automatically performed again.
• Establishing and managing relationships: here you will learn how to integrate your tables into a data model. In Power BI, tables are linked not with formulas but with relationships. However, there are conditions attached and you may encounter all kinds of exceptions which we will show you here.
• Creating reports with frequently used visuals: the icing on the cake, of course, finally creating those beautiful images! We will teach you how to build visualisations quickly and effectively using On-object interaction. We will also look at the implementation of a corporate identity.
• Formatting and analysing visuals: a visualisation is not the goal in itself. It's about the story you want to tell.
• Distributing reports: via Power BI Online, we will show you how to roll out your reports in your organisation.

Course is taught in group with extensive demos and excercises.

A high level of proficiency in Excel is required, as well as the ability to create pivot tables. This ensures that you're already familiar with working with data and ready to learn Power BI.
