In the context of digitalization, outsourcing is a way to get access to new technologies and to achieve economies of scale.  

The European Banking Authority (EBA) guidelines on outsourcing contain specific provisions for the outsourcing arrangements of financial institutions. The National Bank of Belgium has incorporated those guidelines within its supervisory practice.  

To help you find your way through the requirements, the speaker will present a very concrete and pragmatic “road to compliance”. 

The objective of this course is:

  • to leave with a detailed overview of the EBA Guidelines;
  • to leave with a very concrete and step-by-step road to compliance;
  • to be ready to implement the EBA Guidelines.

  • Step 0: Understanding the regulatory framework
  • Step 1: Setting the bar
  • Step 2: Drafting the outsourcing policy
  • Step 3: Adapting internal processes and creating awareness
  • Step 4: Listing and assessment of all the service providers
  • Step 5: Alignment of the contracts
  • Step 6: Filling the outsourcing register
  • Step 7: Be ready to report to the NBB

 

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Duration: ½ day of training (3 hours)
  • Hours: 13:30 to 17:00
  • Location: This training takes place online. 
  • Language: This training will be given in English.
  • Additional information: How do you start the webinar? You will receive a login and password by email to access our platform. In the platform you will find a link. By clicking on the scheduled date the webinar will start via Webex.
    In order to receive CPD hours, it is important to enter your own name and surname in Webex, follow the entire training day and answer the questions suggested by the trainer. Do not follow the training with several people on the same PC.

Le matériel didactique se compose comme base d’une présentation via la plateforme d’apprentissage MyFA, complétée de supports divers tels que syllabus numérique, présentation, extraits audiovisuels…
