GL Accountant

AED Group is an international player in the audiovisual sector, specializing in the rental, sale, and service of professional AV equipment for events, television, film, and fixed installations. With offices in multiple countries and strong growth ambitions, we combine technical expertise with innovative solutions for clients worldwide.
To further strengthen our Finance team, we are currently looking for a GL Accountant. Are you someone who enjoys taking responsibility, works accurately, and thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple entities?
Then you might be the colleague we are looking for. You will join a team of two GL Accountants and report directly to the Head of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
As a GL Accountant, you are responsible for the general accounting of several entities within the group and support financial reporting at group level. Your main responsibilities:
- Preparing and executing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Posting depreciation, provisions, and accruals
- Preparing audit files
- Reconciling intercompany transactions within the group
- Preparing VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and IC listings in cooperation with local advisors
- Actively contributing to process improvements and further digitalization of financial processes
- Working closely with your GL colleagues, AP/AR teams, the Head of Accounting, and the Group Controller
Profil
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent through experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a general accounting role
- Experience with accounting in a consolidated group and intercompany processes
- Good knowledge of BE GAAP
- Strong Excel and ERP skills (experience with Navision is a plus)
- Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus
- Analytical, accurate, and well-structured; proactive with clear communication skills
- Able to remain resilient during closing periods
