For one of our customers, an international company located in Ghent, we are looking for a Young Potential in Engineering.
During 15 intense and exciting months, starting September 2019, the program will give you a holistic view of the international manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities worldwide. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several ?on-the-job? rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at our firm.
You are part of a motivated and highly competent team of production leaders. As part of this operational management team, you are responsible for the lead KPI's in your area: safety, quality, efficiency and employee engagement. Working closely together with the operators, engineers, business control, HR, safety and other supporting functions, you work out the most effective solutions for all the challenges a big plant like ours faces: rebalancing, product changes, new technologies and so on.
As a production leader you are responsible for the daily management of the operations in a part of the production plant. You take care of the coaching, the management and the motivation of your employees and enable them to achieve their goals together. To join the operations graduate program as a production leader, you should have a Master in Engineering (civil engineering, industrial engineering, business engineering) and have a maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation. In order to be a successful production leader, you need to be a good communicator (Dutch & English) and possess strong analytical skills.
If you are a process-oriented engineer that enjoys working in a team, has a hands-on mentality and who can motivate people, then you are the person that we are looking for. Any knowledge of workplace organization or experience in lean manufacturing is a strong asset!
