For one of our customers, an international company located in Ghent, we are looking for a Young Potential in Logistics Engineering.
During 15 intense and exciting months, starting September 2019, the program will give you a holistic view of the firm's global manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities worldwide. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several ?on-the-job? rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at our firm.

The team consists of First Line Managers who are responsible to fulfil our customer's needs. A great team of 10, working on the future with a continuous improvement mind-set. Team work is extremely important to reach our goal together.
Your main activities and responsibilities:
You will learn how to take on a leadership role within the Distribution Center. You will do this from a cross functional perspective with a great opportunity to get familiar with the company and it´s different departments. You will be contributing to continuous improvements of safety, quality, lead time, cost-efficiency and employee satisfaction within our warehouse operations. A First Line manager is responsible for the daily management of the logistic flow. They take care of the coach
To join the operations graduate program as a logistics engineer, you should have a Master in Economics or Engineering (civil engineering, industrial engineering, business engineering) and have a maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation.
You are a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in.
Being customer focused, action oriented and to have an analytical viewpoint are important for this role.
