For our customer, an international logistics company located in Ghent, we are looking for a Operations Quality Manager. The Operations Quality Manager has the responsibility to secure delivered quality as perceived by customers by ensuring that the firm is receiving, handling, storing, and delivering products according to the defined process and specifications. Furthermore you identify improvement needs to continuously enhance customer delivered quality. You also secure efficiency of the Quality management at the firm.
Your key responsibilities:
You ensure the customer voice for quality is heard throughout the logistic flows.
With the purpose to deliver with quality to customers, you organize and manage the quality teams in the following areas: Material Quality (Material Supplier Quality), Operations Quality and delivered Product Quality, deviations & campaigns coordination.
You implement best practices in quality throughout the firm and facilitate cross functional collaboration for the customer quality perception.
In case of customer claims or any major quality issue, you secure immediate containment actions (if needed stop deliveries) and secure that effective root-cause analysis and action plans has been performed.
You represent quality in the different projects: you analyze risks and promote preventive actions to the different stakeholders.
You measure supplier Quality and in case of non-conformities you secure immediate containment actions cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders .
You stop actions / processes not compliant with safety, environment or product care.
You lead a team of approx. 10 people. You ecure employee engagement, performance excellence and leadership effectiveness.
You report to the Director Quality and Environment.
You have a university degree or equivalent by experience.
You have at least 5 years of experience in quality. Experience in logistics or manufacturing is an advantage.
You have knowledge of quality assurance tools
You have the ability to work in International and multi-cultural environment.
You have strong leadership skills and strong continuous improvement skills.
You think logically and have the ability to analyse and solve problems.
You have the ability to define priorities.
