For one of our customers, an international company, located in Ghent, we are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer.
You are part of the manufacturing engineering organisation and you are responsible for organising changes on the process solution side. Your main task is to support production by adapting, improving and implementing process oriented IT solutions. You will support the end users (manufacturing engineers and production operators). You are both an expert of the current systems and as well a driver for innovation and looking for new technologies to support your current business. You discuss your way of working and improvements in a global team of key users and solution leaders.
Collect, analyse, propose and help prioritize change requests from the users represented towards the business process developer or the solution leader
Participate and evaluate user acceptance test (i.e. new solution releases)
Provide the solution leader with information about changes in the unit, e.g. increase/ decreased number users, changes of production volumes etc.
Support implementation of standard process/es and solution(s) at local site/organization
Identify training needs, plan and secure training in cooperation with business process developer and/ or solution leader
Represent the users in user groups/ reference groups or similar forums
Communicate and anchor process/ solution improvement proposals at the local site/ organization
Bring business knowledge and needs/ requirements from all users to the business process developer/ solutions leader in process/ solution development and improvement activities
You have a Master/ Bachelor degree in engineering or have equivalent working experience
You are fluent in Dutch and English
You are analytical, self-learning and hands on
You have knowledge of manufacturing processes
You have good problem solving skills and are interested in data analysis
You have good knowledge and experience in change management
You have good communication skills
You are a teamplayer that works well with all organisation levels (from operators to management team)
You think out of the box and always look for innovations and improvements
Knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus
