The Logistics Coordinator is member Intermediates & Solvents Team that is responsible for the logistics of the materials stored in the distribution centres in Belgium. In this role, she/he will be responsible for managing all aspects of order shipping and delivery, ensuring that the shipments are executed in compliance with our customers` needs and expectations. The successful candidate will be operating in an international environment and effective communication and coordination with other departments and suppliers are essential qualifications for this position.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage the entire delivery process, ensuring sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Manage all aspects of order shipping and delivery, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations with maximum efficiency and focus on customers` expectations;
Review order allocations and shipment quantities with Product Management;
Creation of outbound deliveries and shipments in SAP, EDI transmission and distribution of the shipping documentation to the different terminals;
Assign freight costs to the transport orders and optimize cost control;
Process transport orders in SAP and the interlinked Transport Management System;
Instructing forwarders and shipping points to prepare and execute the shipments of
bulk loads and packaged goods;
Monitor the deliveries and take corrective actions where necessary to ensure delivery dates, times and conditions are met in compliance with our customers` needs;
Maintain, update and file transport orders, associated records and documents;
Respond to freight and logistic enquiries from our Sales Force and Customer Service Representatives and interact with our Quality Department;
Track and analyze mis-shipments and keep records of delivery issues;
Organize carrier performance meetings and provide information and data for complaint management;
Prepare and maintain monthly logistics and cost reports;
Bachelor in administration/logistics or equivalent. Preferably a minimum of 1 year of working experience in a logistics function.
Is flexible, stress resistant and able to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines;
Analytical thinking with good organizational abilities;
Is detail-oriented and has strong problem-solving skills;
Fluent in English and Dutch (verbal and written), German is a plus;
Affinity with logistics and administrative activities;
Excellent communication and interpersonal competences;
Commercial insight with a customer-oriented approach;
Basic knowledge of Incoterms, international transport modes and regulations
Is proactive and can work well independently and in team
Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
