In this job as Food Technologist Ingredients & Fermentation, you are the expert when it comes to implementation at a practical level. You work in close relation with other departments like quality, production, procurement, new product development, …. To achieve a fast, successful implementation of novelties and NPD's, you will follow the market closely in the basic range of ingredients (flour, ferments, gist, salt, sugar, margarine, butter) and check capabilities of suppliers for novelties, new applications and alternatives. In close relation with quality and production you create internal processes to handle and prepare ingredients & ferments (sourdough installation for example). From a technological point of view you screen and validate the technological capabilities of the suppliers new ingredients. Also you participate in procurement saving projects and tenders led by procurement. Together with the quality department you participate in product quality improvement projects and set up necessary and applicable QC methods for ingredients & ferments. The art of excellent experience is to be able to implement projects at a practical level and to engage commitment to implement best practices.
