Scania Parts Logistics (SL) is responsible for the distribution of spare parts from suppliers to customers at 1 600 service points globally and providing logistic services to the global Scania retail network. The company operates through different sites globally: Opglabbeek (Belgium), São Paulo (Brazil) and Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, Mexico together with 7 regional warehouses in Europe.

The Director Finance is a key position at Scania Parts Logistics and is a member of the Management team.

Functieomschrijving

We are looking for a person with proven financial experience preferably in Logistics and good leadership and communication skills. The Candidate is a strong team player and takes responsibility to drive performance management with a Hands on attitude and out of the box thinking.
The Director Finance is focused in achieving business improvements and driving change and cost focus throughout the whole organisation.

Your tasks
  • Lead and develop a department of accounting, business control, and international custom and trade specialists reporting directly to you.
  • Follow up, controlling and consolidation of our global operations including all Parts centers and Regional warehouses.
  • Continuously and on assignment basis coordinate and address the cost development challenge together with the responsible counterparts at factory (BT, KP)
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  • Present the financial performance and outcomes to the management team and the Scania Parts Logistics board.
  • Take part in the business development and change processes as a financial expert
  • Establish timely and accurate financial reporting to corporate Scania.
  • Make sure that the company complies with local legal and financial requirements as well as Scania Group Policies.

Profiel

  • Knowledgeable in computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office (advanced skills in Excel); experience from Oracle eBS, Hyperion FM and SAP is an advantage
  • A thorough understanding of the typical accounting department tasks such as AP/AR, GL, Fixed Assets, VAT etc.
  • Able to present progress, findings, status, risks, next steps and recommendations at Manager and Director level
  • Must be able to function effectively in a cross-functional and high-activity environment
  • Familiar with leading a team also without being the supervisor
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills, stress-resistance
Language
  • Essential: Fluent English verbal and written
