Belgocontrol is an autonomous public company with the main mission to guarantee the safety of air navigation in the controlled civil airspace over Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as at the six Belgian public airports: Brussels, Antwerp, Charleroi, Liège, Ostend & Kortrijk. Besides air traffic management & control, our company offers a variety of other services which are essential to civil aviation, such as accurate, reliable and real-time aeronautical & meteorological information. Nearly 170 technical experts, engineers & technicians manage all our communication, navigation and surveillance systems. Both staff and equipment are essential for our and our customers' activities. Over 800 staff, 300 of which are air traffic controllers, work on 6 main sites, day & night, 365 days a year.

Contract Manager


As our Contract Manager you aim for an optimum management of the installations falling under the competence of the Technical Support service by drawing up purchase dossiers and monitoring the performance of the contracts in accordance with the agreements made. 
In concrete terms, that means that you will:
  • draw up an inventory of all technical installations of the Technical Support service;
  • elaborate processes and work instructions;
  • maintain contacts with the suppliers and follow up the suppliers' compliance with contracts. You will also monitor the performance of the delivered services by the suppliers;
  • follow up the budgets and deliveries;
  • verify and approve the invoices;
  • act as a contact point for complaints and you will follow up on them;
  • analyse and report on the pre-established KPIs. 
Moreover, you are closely involved in drawing up the purchase dossiers.
  • you will contact the potential suppliers;
  • you will coordinate the drafting of technical specifications and purchase dossiers;
  • you will negotiate price quotations and make the necessary agreements on e.g. the technical conformity of products;
You will stay informed on the latest market and supplier evolutions. 


  • you preferably hold a degree in engineering with a solid knowledge of electricity and HVAC;
  • you are happy to take on some more administrative tasks (following up maintenance contracts,…);
  • you have a proactive mind-set and excellent abilities to follow up KPIs;
  • ideally you have at least 5 years' worth of experience in a similar job;
  • knowledge of the processes and limitations of public contracts is an asset;
  • you work accurately and meticulously;
  • you are structured and organised;
  • you are result-oriented;
  • you have strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • you have good knowledge of English, French and Dutch.
