As the team lead of the BI Development team you are leading a team of internal and external BI developers maintaining reporting databases, ETL and reporting tools. You are reporting into the Group SQL/BI manager.
Together with the SQL/BI manager you are responsible to manage the team and do the scrum planning of the BI development sprints.
Together with the SQL/BI manager and the overall release manager you are involved in release management, making sure development is released, and that whenever there is released the dependent development is released.
For all new development you will also act as the solution architect, ensuring that the business focused change request is translated into clearly actionable development tickets.
Together with the other team leads and managers you make sure the tools to automate and streamline the development and release process are functional.
You will also do BI development together with the rest of the team.
You have a bachelor or master's degree in IT.
You have relevant experience.
You can write SQL and have experience with relational databases.
You have experience with ETL and DWH development.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server version 2012 and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite (SSIS and SSRS) is a bonus.
Experience with a reporting tool (MicroStrategy, Qlik, Tableau, BO, PowerBI, etc.) is a requirement. Knowledge of MicroStrategy is preferred, since this the BI platform we use.
Some affinity with Big Data platforms (Google Big Query, Cassandra, Mongo, etc.) is required.
An interest and a first experience with data science (Data Lakes, R, machine learning, etc.) is desired.
Experience with development tools such as Jira, Git, Confluence is a plus
Experience with working with nearshoring parties is a plus.
You can communicate fluently in English - knowledge of Dutch is a nice to have.
