My client is one of the most global players amongst the world's leading consumer goods companies. The company clearly focuses on 5 majors' categories: oral care, personal care, household cleaning, fabric care and pet nutrition.

Today, they are looking for a Senior Customer Development Manager in order to reinforce their business and their team in Belgium.

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving targeted sales within an assigned account (one of the top 5 retailers) and you will drive and generate revenue by developing market potential through forecasting and closing sales.

Job description

Main tasks

  • You will be responsible for managing and growing business with top key customers
  • You will build and maintain excellent client relations
  • Based on analysis you will identify and prioritize business opportunities
  • You will propose and implement adequate plans to tackle business opportunities and to offset potential risks and challenges
  • You will be responsible for forecasting and reporting in collaboration with marketing and logistics
  • You will report to the Sales leader
  • You will be responsible for supervising, coaching and developing a Junior Key Account Manager
  • They expect from you qualitative input in terms of suggestions, ideas and proposals for the overall business strategy and execution.



  • You hold a previous experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG industry (ideally you also have an experience in marketing)
  • You are trilingual (FR, NL, EN) and you have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You hold a Master Degree
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You have proven leadership skills
  • You have strong relationship building skills and display an attitude that is key to success
  • Strong commercial / negotiation skills
  • Highly self-motivated, eager to learn and develop your skills, excellent listening, presentation skills
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
