Senior Project Engineer
• You are responsible for a detailed specification of production means like tools, measurement equipment and other machinery in order to produce mechanical components meeting customer requirements • You create work instructions or instruction sheets to stabilise and improve the production process • You achieve the desired results while meeting time, cost, quality, and efficiency targets defined for this position • You coordinate and implement pre-try-out, try-out, and start-up, as well as all activities related to preparations for production • You give technical support to operators, and train production operators on improvements, new processes, new products or new machinery • You continuously look for ways to improve the production process to ensure that the products comply with customer requirements for quality, cost and time. You guard the technological developments regarding the areas of expertise • You plan, design, implement, validate and continuously improve production processes, systems and methods • You give technical support to a group of engineers regarding a technical area of expertise. These technical areas of expertise can be: turning and drilling, gear cutting, grinding • You are the key technical contact for the customer.
• You are an Engineer, with a Master in Mechanics • Preferably you have 5 - 10 years of experience in an engineering department • You have knowledge of gear cutting and of the various manufacturing techniques for toothed-gear processes • You have background experience in machining • You have good communication skills and you can work independently • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with cost awareness • You have a good knowledge of English • You are willing to travel and able to work in different cultures
