Senior Material Scientist

Job description

Your responsibilities are: Improve our product by identifying|synthesizing alternative materials. Define new material specs in close collaboration with the R&D and operation teams. Identify and manage suppliers for new materials. Assess compatibility of new materials in our technology stack. Path-find tooling/process for the integrating the materials in our process flow.


You have experience in:
Adhesives, conductive materials, optical materials and polymers;
Experience with liquid crystals and LCD related materials are considered a bonus;
Surface chemistry and adhesion promotion;
Deposition techniques for adhesives;
Analysis techniques such as polarizing light optical microscopy, UV-VIS spectroscopy, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, TGA and DSC;
Supplier interaction & management.

And you are:
A PhD in Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent, preferably with at least 5 years of industry experience.
Creative, a team player, hands-on, hardworking and persistent.
Comfortable working in a start-up with a fast moving and changing culture.
A good communicator with good English language skills.
