For one of our clients, an international company in the chemical industry, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager.

This is a very exciting position with high responsibilities. You will report to a Commercial Manager and you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of sales in Europe.


Job description

Your main tasks are:
  • Develop and maintain sales at targeted accounts/countries
  • Prepare, evaluate and negotiate contract proposals, analyse costs of each order
  • Oversee operational management of customers
  • Compile and organise information about customers and competition
  • Analysis of specific commercial opportunities and market development and make recommendations accordingly
  • Participate actively in the quarterly European pricing process.
  • Budget and forecast sales and report results.
  • Prepare periodical updates on industry supply and demand information within sales region.
  • Analyse and evaluate specific projects within its accounts
  • Initiate and contribute to an efficient supply chain and logistics management
  • Work in accordance with ISO 9002 procedures and Responsible Care Principles


  • You possess a MBA and/or a university degree in Chemical Engineering, Sales Engineering, Economics.
  • You have a deep understanding of macroeconomics
  • You speak English fluently (other European language is considered as an asset)
  • You have minimum 5 years’ experience as an Account Manager in an multinational environment
  • You have knowledge in Business Development but are more oriented towards account management
  • You have a relevant experience in B2B sales (within the energy, chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry)

  • You are organized, meticulous and practical
  • You are willing to travel (up to 30%) – no business trip in the first year
