Job description

Develop and empower your teams and improve their sales performance
  • You are responsible for defining and implementing the sales strategy. In order to ensure long-term growth, you expand the business with new and existing clients by building strong partnerships and negotiating long-term agreements.
  • You lead a team of 10 people and lead sales offices in various countries. Through motivation, monitoring performance and providing support you accompany them in their personal and sales development.
  • You are responsible for analysing and improving the sales processes and internal workflow in order to increase efficiency and to maximise the performance of the commercial department.
  • In close collaboration with R&D you analyse the customer’s needs and product requirements and are involved in the optimization and launch of the product portfolio. Together with operations you ensure accurate forecast and opportunity pipeline in order to maximize the quality, stock management and quality control of deliveries. 
  • Hierarchically, you report to the EMEA Managing Director, and functionally to the Vice President Marketing & Sales of the Rousselot Group. You will travel up to 40% of your time.

Profile

Customer- & challenge-oriented – People development skills
  • You have a Master’s degree with a proven track record in a senior commercial role within an international B2B environment, preferably in agriculture , food manufacturing or the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in sales of natural raw materials/commodities is a plus.
  • You are an energetic and charismatic manager who encourages ownership and teamwork. You are recognised as sharp in analysis, pragmatic in approach to business and effective in reaching results.
  • You have a broad knowledge of business processes and are able to anticipate to changing market conditions.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage.     
  • You are prepared to travel frequently.
