The unit Electric and Electronic Workshop ensures the reliability, quality, maintenance and modernisation of the electrical and electronic components of part of the research infrastructures of the Institute for Nuclear Materials Science. The ongoing modernisation aims to introduce new improved technology and to bring them in line with the evolving quality and safety requirements.
As a project engineer:
you will assist the head of unit in:
the daily organisation of the unit;
the continuous improvement of various maintenance processes within the research infrastructures;
the critical analysis of the sustainable, high-quality and safe operation of the facilities concerned and the proposal, development and implementation of the necessary adjustments;
you play a steering and active role in the development of studies and innovation projects, carried out under your own management or by external companies, such as
studying which modifications to the electrical and electronic facilities are necessary due to new regulations, amended operation criteria or security requirements;
carrying out a thorough analysis of the global existing facilities prior to their study;
researching the security impact of innovation and/or automation projects;
drawing up specifications when the works are subcontracted;
monitoring the works done by external companies or other internal services;
ensuring adequate reporting, such as summaries or comprehensive test and maintenance procedures.
