They are looking for a strategic minded and great people manager for the payroll team within the shared service center.

Payroll Manager

Job description

You will be responsible for all payroll and personnel administration activities, including operational fleet management, VISA and telephone subscriptions for the Belgian entities. This includes 14 companies in Benelux.

You will be operational in payroll activities (30%), management of the team and linked projects (70%), with a main focus on cost savings, client satisfaction and employee engagement. This role includes following tasks:

  • Organize, follow-up and lead a timely monthly payroll for all companies (blue and white collars, international payroll)
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Manages changes in legislation and translate them into payroll procedures and/or automation
  • Preparation of budget.
  • Responsible for the preparation of external Audit.
  • Manage, motivate and coach a team of payroll professionals, in a dynamic and active way.
  • Coordinate and inform T&A clerks.
  • Manage contacts with external providers (Acerta, Group insurance, Hospitalization insurance, meal vouchers, …)
  • Manage contacts and close cooperation with internal stakeholders/clients (HR Managers, International Mobility, Medical Service, Finance, …)
  • Manage internal communication for payroll related issues
  • Lead future projects such as integrating payroll activities for other countries.
  • Lead the SSC payroll into a well-organized, structured and service oriented organization.

Profile

  • You have a Bachelor/Master degree in HR and 5 years experience in a role as payroll team manager.
  • You have a strong background in (international) payroll, social legislation and corresponding reporting.
  • You are IT minded and knowledge of Acerta-tools is a plus.
  • You are fluent in Dutch & English, written as well as spoken.
  • You have strong analytical skills, are a problem solver and know how to prioritize.
  • You can motivate and coach your team towards achieving results, but also help them to develop their professional skills.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills to all hierarchy levels to present and defend your goals to your internal clients (Managing directors, HR directors), both in speaking and writing.
  • You will report to the SSC Manager.
