Located in the beautiful town of Tervuren, near the university city of Leuven, BSB is a not for profit, inclusive fee-paying international school with 1,350 students from approximately 70 countries. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke curriculum with integrated learning themes that are inquiry based and skills driven. Whilst British-based, it is uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and multicultural student body. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)GCSE and BTEC courses. Post-16 students can choose from three internationally recognised pre-university examination courses: English A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or BTEC. BSB has outstanding facilities and is the only international school in Belgium to have its own 25m indoor swimming pool. Marketing & Communication Administrator (50%)

Job description

Purpose of the role:
Providing administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Department to maximise efficiencies and help achieve departmental goals.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Administrative work as required by the Marketing & Communications Director and Communications Officer including:
    • Maintaining contact lists and conduct research to locate contact names
    • Ensure all online directories are updated annually
    • Support for the update of school publications and proof reading and checks associated with communications
    • Production and/or checking of key internal communications
  • Act as back up to the Digital Marketing Coordinator for digital signage, physical archives and photography
  • Back up for the Admissions team at peak times.


Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years work experience in administration

Skills & Qualities

  • Mother tongue level of English and excellent communication skills (Dutch and/or French an asset)
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • High level of customer care, ability to remain calm and professional at all times
  • An optimistic ‘can do’ approach
  • Able to adapt, be flexible and see more than one way of doing things.
