Job description

Brief overview of department:

Ghent Blending Plant (GBP) is a Chevron equity blending plant, located in the harbour of Ghent. It is part of Chevron Lubricants Supply Chain & Base Oils.

The plant works in 3 shifts with 30 employees in total, producing 75.000 MT/year of which 75% lubricants for the Chevron

Key responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate and plan all the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities by use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as prepare and organize the periodic inspections on this equipment.
  • Lead the investment projects from concept to execution until commissioning (Avg. 3 projects/year).
  • Secure that the maintenance and project activities are compliant with the Chevron Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS)


  • The ideal candidate has a University Degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  • Strong relation builder / team player.
  • Able to lead a small team of maintenance staff.
  • Solution-oriented person for day-to-day issues arising on the work floor.
  • Fluent with MS Office tools.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English. French is an asset.
  • A few years experience in maintenance is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of blending equipment is a benefit.
