Warehouse Supervisor
Your Mission
As warehouse supervisor, you will have the opportunity to be the driving force behind the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Together with the team, you will ensure the smooth processing of incoming and outgoing goods and continuously look for opportunities to improve operational cooperation and eliminate potential risks. You will manage a team of 30 people (blue collar and white collar) and make sure that everyone is aligned on the roles and responsibilities throughout the entire team.

Your Mission
As warehouse supervisor, you will have the opportunity to be the driving force behind the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Together with the team, you will ensure the smooth processing of incoming and outgoing goods and continuously look for opportunities to improve operational cooperation and eliminate potential risks. You will manage a team of 30 people (blue collar and white collar) and make sure that everyone is aligned on the roles and responsibilities throughout the entire team.
What you will do
- You ensure an optimal flow of incoming and outgoing goods (receipt, put-away, preparation, loading and administration of the products).
- You organize the daily workload with attention to the availabilities of the team members (control of absenteeism, organization of the team, respect for working schedules,…).
- You support the team in their personal and professional development and you pay extra attention to their wellbeing on the work floor (organization of trainings, onboarding of new team members, performance evaluations,…).
- You make sure that all the safety & security rules are established, well known and respected and that all dangerous situations are reported and appropriate actions are taken to eliminate or reduce them.
- You are responsible for operational compliance of your department to all applicable legal regulations and international food safety standards.
- You manage to keep the obsolete stock and the write-off level to a strict minimum and organize regular full warehouse counting to ensure the accuracy of the stock information.
- You follow up on daily and weekly dashboards and KPI’s.
- You get the opportunity to actively participate in various projects (eg automated warehouse extension).
Profile
Who are we looking for?
- You have a bachelor degree or equivalent by experience (preferably in logistics) with minimum 5 years of experience managing teams in a logistic environment.
- You are fluent in French, Dutch and English.
- You are tech savvy and interested in learning new (logistic/WMS) systems. Knowledge of SAP is a big plus.
- You are a true people manager who leads by example and understands the importance of being available to all members of the team.
- You understand the nature of working in an operational environment and are flexible in taking up shared responsibilities.
- You are able to shift priorities according to the situational needs.
- You build trust and respect by listening and communicating effectively and respectfully.
