For our client in the medical field at Haasrode, we are looking for an analytical supply planner!
The Supply Chain Planning department is responsible for Sales & Operations Planning and Inventory Management for the EMEA region. The goal is to improve synchronization and decision making across functions within EMEA by improving collaboration and aligning the organization around a single operating plan, supported by the right data and tools. The aim is to balance demand and supply and ensure healthy inventory levels that maximize customer service and minimize backorders and obsolescence.
As part of the Supply Chain Planning team, the main responsibility of the Supply Planner is to support the supply chain process and to secure the product availability.
No better way to explain this role then using the words of a current Supply Planner within the company:
"Every supply chain planner receives a product portfolio of several subgroups to take care off as they are your own children, and to keep them in a healthy condition. This for sure requires an analytical mindset, as we need to ward our stock levels in having not too much stock, avoiding back orders, try to avoid expired or short expired stock and to keep the stock moving towards the forecast to fulfill the customer demand. All these topics are discussed once a month together with our manager and colleagues, to see what's ok and what can be improved. Daily communications with direct colleagues, managers, business unit members or customer services are for sure above the analytical part very important in my job. But as a member of this great supply chain planning team, I can tell the interaction I have with all my colleagues in sharing thoughts and helping each other, besides the great support from our managers makes my daily job a real pleasure."
As a Supply Planner, you ensure that appropriate supplies and stock levels are maintained to meet customer service levels, both within cost restrains and consistent with suppliers' lead time. You're responsible for building relationships with Sales/Marketing/Production/Supplier (local, externally) in order to assure the availability of the finished products for distribution towards the customers. You collaborate with our Customer Service department regarding customer needs and supply availability. You anticipate business questions and opportunities, and proactively analyze and propose solutions or improvements. Furthermore, you identify, analyze and report potential supply & inventory issues and react properly.
Next to this, you act as a key contributor in the total Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and you support in the preparation of the supply review meeting and follow-up actions.
As the SAP Key User, you will make sure that the SAP system stays aligned on the company and department needs and the End to End Business Processes. You are responsible to understand and express the team requirements, align them to the business processes and manage the continuous improvement of systems functionalities. You have a system mindset and like to explore how SAP can support our Business Processes and improve our results. You will support the supply chain planning team by solving operational issues in planning and procurement processes. You participate in SAP implementation projects and support in testing (system integration and user acceptance testing), creation of manuals and trainings of the team. You provide the necessary support in preparation and testing of special projects related to continuous improvement.
You have a Master degree or equivalent through experience.
Experience with SAP (IBP, MM) is an asset (not a must - internal training will be given).
You are proficient with computer applications and have an outspoken interest in IT systems. You are familiar with Microsoft Office in general and experienced with Excel specifically.
You have strong analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions.
You have excellent organizational, communication, influencing and collaborative skills. You can adapt your communication to your target audience.
You are fluent (both written and spoken) in English. Other languages are an asset.
You are flexible and are able to remain focused under stressful circumstances.
You are a team player who can also work independently.
We offer you an fulltime position as a Supply Planner in an international medical devices company.
You'll join a passionate Supply Chain team, with team members who will guide you to further develop your skills.
We offer an environment that values quality products and care for patients and health care professionals at it's heart, together with a competitive salary and benefit package (meal vouchers, company restaurant, pension plan, a health insurance and an Employee Assistance Program available 24/7).
During the interview process you'll get the chance to interact with multiple enthusiastic colleagues of the team, who are looking forward to tell you more about our company, our mission, the job, the team, ...
