Operational Buyer - Kortenberg

Job description

As a Operational Buyer you have the following responsibilities:

  • You create purchase orders for materials, packaging and services in accordance with agreed purchasing processes and in compliance with corporate contracts and all other relevant EHS, regulatory and company standards;
  • You provide project support for on-going and future Procurement Excellence projects;
  • You collaborate with the surrounding Purchasing team and other internal functions including Finance, Legal and Source to Pay, to ensure that all required information is available for the execution of the necessary SAP transactions (for example purchase orders and information records);
  • You ensure that the site supply chain stakeholders are kept up to date with delivery schedules and work together to solve supply constraint situations;
  • You contribute to the appropriate part for a full Purchase to Pay (P2P) solution;
  • You act as the daily operational business link between purchasing and our manufacturing sites;
  • You develop strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • You ensure that the proposed and applied purchasing solutions meet the site's tactical, commercial and operational requirements;
  • You perform occasional routine negotiations when requested;
  • You share experiences with peers and report updates during internal team meetings.

Profile

Your profile as Operational Buyer:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience;
  • You have previous professional experience in an operational or administrative environment is ideal;
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch or French, with the addition of any other European languages an asset;
  • You have strong communication skills and commercial understanding;
  • You are capable of working under pressure;
  • You are organized and have a structural mind set;
  • You have a flexible attitude and are team player;
  • You have affinity with IT and Business ERP systems.
