The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE)
with headquarters in Grimbergen is a non-profit, international organisation representing over 7000 infertility specialists, embryologists, geneticists, stem cell scientists, developmental biologists, technicians and nurses worldwide.  Following its continuous growth, ESHRE is seeking to extend its staff and is now looking to recruit a well-motivated and enthusiastic, m/f

Job description

Relevant candidates will be responsible for the overall management of the scientific programme of our Annual Congress and related educational activities from the early planning stages onwards until the final on-site coordination. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Preparing and sending out mailings requesting proposals for the scientific programme among the Society’s membership;
  • Preparing and attending Scientific Committee meetings;
  • Processing and implementing the Scientific Committee’s decisions and preparing the provisional programme;
  • Inviting selected speakers and maintaining follow-up correspondence;
  • Processing and administering contributions (abstracts) submitted by the scientific/clinical community of reproductive/infertility specialists;
  • Preparing the programme for publication on the Society’s website and other relevant media


The ideal candidate would have a background or qualification in administration and data management. Good communication skills are vital to function within a small but dedicated team and within an organisation of people with different cultural backgrounds. A good knowledge of English - both written and spoken - is a prerequisite. Knowledge of other European languages is an additional asset. Relevant applicants should also be service minded,  with an eye for detail, well-organised and should be able to work independently as well as within a team. Candidates should also be willing to travel abroad on a regular basis.
