Job description

Your mission
  • you undertake various functions related to document control, document archiving, document imaging and maintenance of document register for Construction Projects and/or Detail Engineering Projects
  • you develop and maintain Company Standard Document Processes and Tools, train and support all document controllers
  • key user for implementation and maintenance of electronic Document Management System
  • role holder would be under minimum supervision of his superior
  • you receive and register client provided document for detail engineering or construction engineering project, including in-house generated document
  • you control issuance of document numbers, including maintenance of proper document registers for basic/detail engineering or construction engineering project
  • you maintain specifically assigned project database/s
  • you ensure proper document & report collecting, classification, sorting, filing and proper archiving
  • you review completeness of documentation and prepare document transmittals
  • you prepare and maintain Approved for Contruction (AFC)/As-built files for detail engineering or construction engineering project, either for in-house use or for onward transmittal to Client during project closeout
  • you perform document quality check in accordance to company engineering document control procedures
  • you perform file backup to ensure proper storage and archiving of electronic registers
  • you prepare engineering project reports, as may be required
  • you train employees in the proper way to create or fill out documents
  • you produce & maintain document progress reports to project manager
  • ad hoc duties as required to assist the project team
  • you create templates for future use

Profile

  • completion of at least three (3) years college education, preferably engineering or business administration or equivalent with relevant years of experience
  • you have minimum of 5 years experience as document controller, at least 2 years as Senior Document Controller, and at least 2 years in an engineering environment
  • you have minimum of 5 years experience with electronic Document Management Systems (such as OpenText, Aconex,…)
  • completion of formal training in computer or equivalent years of experience in MS Office, Databases and PDF editors
  • exceptional organizational skills to be effective in executing his day-to-day functions (e.g. construction project needs strong organizational skills to file and retrieve records of the building blueprint, building permits and contract agreement with ease
  • you have a good command of written & spoken Dutch & English and ability to prepare reports and statistics 
  • you have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • you have good typing skills
