We work together with a successful company in the area of Namur with a nice family-like company culture and great values. Throughout decades they kept on expanding their company on a national and international level. Today they have more than 2000 employees in service. To keep on expanding the company and to make sure they are on the wright tracks in the digital era, they would like to engage a business analyst who can also manage implementation projects to reinforce their team.
This concerns a permanent internal position within the company.

Job description

Your challenge

  • You detect, analyze and document the needs of the business.
  • After carrying out a feasibility study, you translate the needs and develop IT solutions. These solutions can consist, among other things, of IT features, process improvements, organizational changes, strategic planning, etc.
  • You develop a vision and a strategy in collaboration with management.
  • You detect double work and encourage synergies.
  • You optimize the processes.
  • You are able to define concepts.
  • You act as an intermediary between the business and the IT players - internal or external.
  • You monitor business objectives during the implementation journey.
  • You support users during the implementation phase of new practices.
  • You are in close collaboration with both the technical teams and the business teams.

Profile

The ideal candidate for this position has the following competencies

  • University degree level (or equivalent), with a preference for IT studies
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business/functional analysis
    • Experience in using modeling tools
    • Capable of writing an analysis based on a concrete case
  • Knowledge required:
    • UML and / or BPMN
    • Analysis Reading
    • Familiar with agile methods
    • Drafting of specifications and / or backlog
    • Able to write "use cases"
    • Familiar with project management concepts (methodologies & tools)
  • Skills required in project management:
    • Organize & plan actions for the implementation of projects within its scope.
    • Coordination with external & internal stakeholders
    • Able to build a roadmap for a project and stick to it
  • Key soft skills: adaptability - resistance to stress - organization - rigor - autonomy - assertiveness - ability to analyze and listen - customer orientation - proactivity - pragmatism - communication
  • Languages:
    • Fluent level of French
    • Minimally a basic level in English
