Citybox is opening a brand new hotel with 180 rooms in the heart of Antwerp, and we are looking for the right person to run it.
In case you haven't heard of Citybox before, we're all about modernization and innovation! We've thrown out minibars, old fashioned TV-sets, and room service. As a result, we offer modern and affordable hotel rooms for frequent travelers. Our rooms are simple, but they contain what guests value the most: a high-quality bed, a desk and chair, a modern bathroom, and free WiFi. We've replaced the traditional reception with check-in terminals, and our interior features Scandinavian design with focus on durability and sustainability. Citybox currently consists of four hotels, but our ambition is to become one of Europe's leading high-quality, low-budget hotel-chains. Citybox Antwerp is our second hotel outside Norway, and it is necessary for you to get Citybox on the map in Antwerpen. You should know precisely how, when, and where we need to go to make Citybox a success in the region. Experience from marketing is a key factor, along with a deep understanding of the hotel market in Antwerpen. Preferably you have management experience from the industry and the necessary contacts to recruit both the right employees and attract guests. Another important factor is a controlled view on our costs levels, along with a bird's view on our ever-evolving rev/par. Can you add certain human skills that help gel our cooperation with our suppliers – you'll be a perfect match! As we do not have an own restaurant, no food & beverage experience is demanded. We will, however, directly link up with a partner-cafe in the building.
- Coordination and administration of all parts of the hotel
- Responsibility for employees in all departments
- Financial accountability
- Interaction with customers and suppliers
- Encouragement of service, sales, and achievement of underlying targets
- Marketing and branding
- Revenue management
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and English. Both written and spoken. As our head office is located in Norway, all communication with the head office will be English.
- Experience from hotel management
- Marketing experience
- Strong leadership skills
A deep understanding of the hotel market in Belgium.
