CREATON is the pitched-roof expert and offers high-quality clay roof tiles and economical concrete roof tiles with system accessories. Employing 1,250 people with a turnover around 250 mio euro, the group operates 12 production sites that manufacture roof tiles and components for markets in Germany, Poland, Southeast Europe and the Benelux. The company currently ranks number one in both Germany and Poland for clay tiles, and number two in Hungary and Southeast Europe. In 2020, Creaton was acquired by the Terreal Group, a French group. Terreal, Creaton’s buyer, has over 150 years of experience in the production of terracotta building materials and specializes in four domains: roofing, solar, structure and façade & decoration. Terreal generates a turnover of about 400 mio euro and employs over 2,000 people at 23 sites in France and around the world.
In the Benelux, Creaton has a Sales & Marketing organization with headquarters in Mechelen, employing 14 employees.

Job description

  • You are responsible for preparing the sales strategy, the budgeting and implementing a sales & marketing plan, with the aim of realizing the sales objectives set for the Benelux.
  • You translate the set sales objectives for the Benelux region into clearly defined objectives to ensure the realization of the turnover of the organization. You follow up results, verify these based on the set targets and adjust them if necessary to ensure that the set sales objectives can be realized.
  • You maintain direct contacts with important customers and/or prospects yourself to ensure that a long-term relationship can be built up and, thus, the set turnover can be realized.
  • You oversee consistent pricing and the correctness of outgoing quotations to ensure that the customer is given an honest and correct proposal.
  • You map out market evolutions, actions and market position of the competition based on strong consultation with the representatives and/or through the direct customer contacts or based on market research to ensure that the company can anticipate on commercial opportunities and can take up a strong position with regard to the competition.
  • You motivate the senior and mature group of experience employees to ensure that their competences, skills and know-how are used in the best possible manner. The Benelux team consists of a Marketing Manager, Product Manager, 9 Sales Representatives and 3 Administrative Employees.
  • You drive the integration of the Benelux organization in the Terreal Group in order to align in terms of company culture and business.
  • You will be part of the Management Team and report directly to the CEO of Creaton.

Profile

  • Professional with Master degree and relevant sales management experience in B-to-B environment. Experience with sales to dealers, craftsmen and architects or experience with building materials is an asset.
  • Passionate people manager who can give confidence to the group and empower each individual employee. People Manager demonstrating pragmatic situational leadership and managing to engage a group of mature commercial professionals.
  • Decisive and autonomous Manager able to handle a broad and general responsibility, but sufficiently hands-on to handle more operational processes as well.
  • Commercial professional with good interpersonal and relating skills to enthusiast, gain trust and build long-term relationships with different customers.
  • Strong communicator who masters Dutch, French and English.
  • Networker able to connect in the group structure of a multinational company.
