Job description

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of all accounting transactions;
  • Carrying out P/L analysis for the Group and individual business areas;
  • Reporting financial information following strict deadlines;
  • Preparing meaningful Management Accounts to the local and global Management Team;
  • Standardizing forecast formats and reducing unnecessary reports;
  • Coordinating and preparing budgets, forecasts and financial activities on an annual and ad-hoc basis, providing analysis on Key Performance Indicators;
  • Actual versus budget analysis with variance reporting on a monthly basis;
  • Reviewing of business processes in relation to financial costs;
  • Cash flow reporting including preparing rolling forecasts;
  • Play an active role in the Business Plan process;
  • Producing accurate and timely P/L reporting, balance sheets and cash flow statements;
  • Reconciliation of statutory Consolidated Financial Statements;
  • Assisting with the annual audit preparation;
  • Analyzing financial results, actual vs forecasts and recommending changes;
  • Interacting with relevant departments to improve cost control;
  • Assisting the Management in development and implementation of new processes and procedures;
  • Ad-hoc reports and analysis as required for external and internal stakeholders;
  • Ensuring that the Company's policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.

The required profile for the Financial Controller position:

  • Have a master's degree or you are equal by experience, AND minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Have a profound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices;
  • Have excellent and extended knowledge of Excel and are a master in handling data bases;
  • Have working experience with SAP 4 Hana;
  • Have a flair for numbers and a sharp eye for details without losing the overview;
  • Are highly structured and have excellent analytical skills;
  • Are compliance oriented;
  • Are enthusiastic, eager to learn and progress and a good communicator;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Are dedicated, flexible and stress-resistant;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch both spoken and written.
