Data scientist - Wind energy intelligence

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support the Wind department by improving the quality of its internal wind resource assessment studies

Our client aims to develop its own Belgium Wind Altas thanks to the large amount of data generate by its wind turbines for many years from now. This wind Atlas will be used to improve the wind resource assessment studies generated internally.

• DB Design : The aim is to retrieve historical data from all available databases, Scada, PI, … and create a single historical database with a times step of 10 minutes.
• Data Consolidation : Based on the DB previously created, filter, clean and fill the gaps in order to get a results usable by WindPRO.
• Data Governance and Data Architecture: Create an efficient workflow within WindPRO to quickly realize accurate wind resource assessment studies
• Data Analysis: Data test and Pilot studies on the data to ensure consistency

 

• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Experience working with and creating data architectures
• Knowledge of variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
• Knowledge of WindPRO is a big plus
