In the context of an increasingly competitive and evolving market, you are responsible for the customisation of our client's products. You ensure the continuity of the continuous improvement process and you accompany the long-term product development teams (R&D) to share knowledge and promote internal synergies.
In this function, you report to the head of the Engineering Office. You interact as a technical expert in a team of 4 people working on mechanical customization projects for existing products.
In this context and in close contact with the various internal and external stakeholders in the project, you are one of the main actors of the customisation service.
Your tasks are as follows:
Elaborate the costing and support, if necessary, the realisation of the customization by:
? making the necessary plans;
? the creation of nomenclature;
? the follow-up of all the stages of the production until the delivery of the product/project;
? respecting deadlines, cost and quality objectives.
Elaborating the rules of good design and verifications of the business and make them evolve;
Ensure the application of good practices / methods in his/her profession;
Manage and validate pre-sales technical documents (site plans, simulation, etc.);
Manage customization service resources (including subcontracting)
Plan the realization of the customizations;
Validating load evaluations of project budgets;
Respecting deadlines and costs of carrying out the studies entrusted to the services;
Maintaining and perfecting the development tools necessary for the proper functioning of the teams;
Assuring and developing as much as necessary the versatility of the service staff;
Putting in place at the service level an effective management of change requests or product modifications necessary to prevent identified problems (JIRA, DMPP, ECN, ...);
Validating the time imputations of the service's people.
In this role, you are the guarantor of the continuity of the continuous improvement program and you work in close collaboration with the teams of the workshop.
Throughout the product lifecycle, from feasibility studies to design, installation, and maintenance, you maintain close relationships with all stakeholders as a technical expert (various internal departments: sales administration, industrialization, prototyping, production and, where appropriate, customers and suppliers).
You have a degree in Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering or in Electromechanics;
You have at least 10 years' experience in a design office or methods/engineering office;
You have between 5 and 10 years' experience in a metallurgical industrial environment;
You have knowledge of CAD tools (knowledge of SolidWorks is an additional advantage);
You master the technical drawing according to the official standards (respect of the rules of tolerances' quotation and finishes to impose on the surfaces, geometric tolerances, representation of welds on plans, etc);
You are familiar with mechanical manufacturing techniques and materials: welds, fine sheet metal bending, machining techniques (turning, milling), thermoforming, surface treatments, etc.
You can manage multidisciplinary technical projects up to the manufacturing stage (You are particularly familiar with LEAN concepts and some tools of Continuous Improvement);
You have developed a practical mind, you are creative, communicative, open and results oriented;
You master the traditional Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus);
You have a perfect command of French and have very good knowledge of English;
You have good communication and relationship skills;
You demonstrate initiative and drive innovation.
You are pragmatic and proactive.
