The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), with headquarter office in Grimbergen, Belgium, is a professional non-profit organisation currently representing more than 10,000 fertility specialists. ESHRE is continuously developing its position as Europe's leading authority in reproductive medicine and is seeking to enhance
communication with its members and other relevant stakeholders. To help achieve this goal we are looking to recruit a well motivated and enthusiastic male or female COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER.

Job description

You will take the lead in effectively promoting ESHRE's mission and activities, including:
  • The development of comprehensive communication plans, ensuring ESHRE’s members and other professionals in the field are informed of all the organisation’s news and developments.
  • Overseeing the content and design of the ESHRE website and related electronic platforms.
  • Managing ESHRE’s multiple social media channels, developing and sending out email marketing campaigns.
  • Create and develop (electronic) marketing materials and correspondence promoting ESHRE’s journals, guidelines, good practice documents and position statements, educational meetings and events to Society members and other relevant professionals and target groups within our field of interest.
  • Design promotional campaigns at third-party events and meetings.
You will run these activities in close collaboration with ESHRE's Communications Committee, the managing director and other members of staff who will support and assist you in the performance of your tasks.


For this position we are looking for candidates willing to be based in a small but friendly office in Grimbergen, Belgium. The ideal candidate would have a background or qualification in communications, or experience in science or medical journalism, possibly within an international environment. Excellent (or mother-tongue) English is necessary. You are creative, self-motivated and should be able to work without continuous supervision,
and capable to cope with a varied workload. You are interested in and prepared to keep up with novel technologies and communication tools. You should also be willing to travel abroad.
