Job description

  • Responds to customer inquiries to develop relationships, identify customer needs and is able to convert them to purchase orders. Prepares orders for the order processor. Substitutes and prices products to maximize utilization of available inventory. Is able to collaborate with Product Management and supervisor when required. Duties include creating COMs, customer quotes, follow up and closing of orders, and developing additional outlets and sources for equipment.
  • Plans and executes a sales call-out schedule for assigned existing and potential customers. Proactively pursues and develops sales relationships with key personnel and targets various segments within assigned accounts to promote account support and determine future needs for products and services.  Maintains current and accurate information on each account. Follows the Company’s strategy in collaboration with the Account Manager as a team. Reviews on a very regular basis the open COM’s with outside sales.
  • Proactively pursues and develops relationships with assigned accounts. Works closely with outside sales on account management.
  • Conducts post-sales follow-up calls after shipment. Reviews and updates COM's to ensure accuracy and completeness of information and updates contact management information by calling customers based on an Outbound Call List as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to Inside Sales Supervisor. Works closely with : outside sales in developing business opportunities, product management, sales staff, order processing and after sales.


  • You have excellent German proficiency in combination with English;
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • You have previous experience working in a commercial function;
  • You are a strong listener who is able to find proactive solutions for the customer;
  • You have a strong commercial awareness and a hunger to grow the business;
  • You are resourceful and a quick thinker to execute problem-solving solutions;
  • You like to work independently, and are able to take on your own responsibilities, but are also an excellent team player;
  • You are flexible and communicative.


This is an interim assignment with possibility for a permanent contract depending on performance and budget. You will work as part of a strong, dynamic team based at the client’s international office in Mechelen.
