Job description

The key responsibilities of the Financial Controller EMEA will include:

  • You are responsible for managing the full financial reporting for the whole EMEA region and reporting the consolidated results on a monthly and quarterly basis towards the VP Global Accounting in the US.
  • You overlook and guide the Monthly and Quarterly Closing process and work towards process improvements with the teams.
  • You guide the different regions through the annual SOX Audits and ensure new guidelines or recommendations are implemented in the regions.
  • You ensure that new US GAAP related matters are correctly interpreted and implemented in the different regions.
  • You oversee and manage the Region's Treasury and Cash Flow Forecasting , FX exposure, international payment types to ensure a well balanced Treasury position in the region.
  • You review Inventory balances and analyse Inventory variances and are a sparring partner to the Operations Department.
  • You will directly manage 5 Financial Controllers spread over the 5 regions in EMEA who each have local accounting teams. Total Finance team counts 34 people.
  • You steer and manage projects related to Improving the closing and consolidation process.
  • You are the lead in projects related to the set-up of new legal entities
  • You ensure the relations with external Auditors and Tax consultants.


The right Financial Controller EMEA has a solid international experience as Financial Controller or Finance Manager and is used to managing teams remotely. He/she has a solid knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and experience in an international "tax driven" company. The right candidate is familiar with SAP and is able to improve the usage of SAP. The company is looking for an outstanding people manager who has an excellent command of English, is able to work in an international and multicultural environment, and is willing to travel at least 20% of his/her time.
