Field Support Engineer in Sint-Niklaas

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • The Field Support Engineer will provide end user support (managed via IT ServiceDesk software) and manage all Wintel Hardware, Microsoft Network Operating Systems, Electronic Messaging Systems, and Directory Services Systems for all Sites, based at the office in Sint Niklaas, Belgium;
  • Provide day to day end-user support to all users globally both in-house and remote (Travelling /Home office users) for all sites together with a team based at different office locations in EMEA;
  • Install/Configure/Manage/Maintain the local Client infrastructure: desktops, laptops, printers according to the Newell Brands IT standards;
  • Manage/maintain the local Server infrastructure according to the standards in co-ordination with the other Teams Globally;
  • Manage/maintain the local Telephone & Area Network infrastructure support in collaboration with the Network Services team;
  • Support the local engineering team in setting-up and evaluating proof-of-concepts for digitalization, and in providing best-practices in IT related topics;
  • Take part in global IT projects and initiatives.

Profile


  • You have a good knowledge of:Client systems: Windows 10, MAC OSX is ideal but not essential;

  • Server systems: Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, SQL 2016;

  • Active Directory management;

  • File and Print management (file sharing, file permissions, setup printers);

  • DNS, DHCP, WINS, MS SQL 2012, 2016 and IIS;

  • Applications: VPN, Office 2016 package;

  • You are known for your: Strong communication skills;

  • Acceptance of change as a constant factor;

  • Pro-active work attitude;

  • Ability to work stand-alone as well as part of a team and multiple teams;

  • You are able to work conform to IT standards and guidelines;

  • You have a very good spoken & written knowledge of Dutch and business English;

  • You are open for occasional travelling to other sites (for example in Netherlands).
