Job description

Wat is your assignment?
Your assignment is to establish Nestaan as a smart solution provider in the European market and to expand its market share. You will create partnerships with installers and application specialists by proving them the practical possibilities and efficiency of Nestaan’s solutions.

Nestaan is a well-known expert in passive fire protection. Nestaan’s coatings make sure that the structural integrity of a building is guaranteed in case of fire. Thus all stakeholders can be reassured when it comes to risks due to fire. Nestaan’s ambition: creating a fire safe environment with durable solutions.

How do you achieve this?
You will be taken into the world of fire protection and will be trained to be an expert on all possible solutions that Nestaan can provide. From the very start you will be working closely together with the Managing Director, while he knows the market for fire protection and its requirements like no one else.

Throughout Asia Nestaan has been supplying many contractors of infrastructure with their fire protection products and now time has come to focus on development of the European market as well. Especially in England, France and Scandinavia there are many opportunities in the market. Therefore, travelling will be essential for the Export Manager Europe (up to 40%). You will frequently visit application specialists and you will be a valuable business partner for them due to your specialist advice on Nestaan’s innovative techniques and applications.

The possibilities for application are endless: from coating tunnels and bridges to sports venues, as well as shopping centers and utilitarian buildings. You will carefully analyze tenders for infrastructural constructions and see which fire protection standards are required. Helped by your thorough knowledge of fire protection certificates and reports you are able to offer the best solution for any project. There’s no such thing as routine: every project is unique!

You will stay in close contact with architects and construction consultants. Thus you will know which projects are coming up and how to support your customers in complying with all regulation regarding fire protection. You are the linking pin between the investor and contractor or application specialist. This way you will see to meeting the highest standards in quality and safety.

On a regular basis you will be in Nestaan’s offices in Doornik (B) for meetings. You will evaluate the proceedings for every project and together you will discuss further strategy. Furthermore you are well informed about the latest trends and developments in Nestaan’s market and you will have a clear view on how to translate these into tangible opportunities and a focused market approach for Nestaan.

When not travelling, you will work from your home office and you will report directly to the General Manager.


What do you bring to the table?
  • Clear affinity with (or knowledge of) building and construction projects
  • Strong relationbuilder who can actually get doors open
  • Strong analytical skills, healthy insight in technical sales processes
  • Result- as well as client-orientated
  • Not shy of tackling a (technical) problem
  • Ability to work out a sales strategy
  • Self-supporting and independent style of working
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch (French would be highly appreciated as well)
