The way we work within the TUI Group airlines is changing. Our goal within the Operations Control Centre is to be a truly integrated service provider to the Benelux TUI Airlines and driving operational excellence for the customer at the very best possible cost and customer satisfaction for the Benelux, French or other Tour Operators whilst maintaining operational integrity and safety/security.

This role will be responsible for the management of the TUI fly Benelux flight program and all administrative and logistical services related to the daily TUI fly Benelux operations within a dedicated 72hr window . As a Duty Manager you will provide active management of flight & crew operations by giving continuous direction to all available assets and resources with the final aim of maximum OTP, NPS, e-NPS and Ebita whilst maintaining operational integrity and safety/security.

Job description

  • You will effectively manage the H24 airline Flight Watch Team on a day to day basis.
  • You will ensure that consideration is given to elements of Operational Control whilst maintaining a smooth operation of the flying program including contingency planning where necessary.
  • You will be responsible for amendment and overview of airport restrictions/slot with regard to to program change management
  • You will have oversight of proactive management of Air Traffic Control and Dispatch procedures, through delivery by GOC.
  • You are responsible and ensure that the Operations Control Centre is 24/7 up to date on the technical aircraft status of the TUIfly Benelux aircrafts and its lease-in Aircrafts in order to pro-actively act on programme integrity.
  • You will be Liaison with all members of the operational team (Flight planning, Engineering, Sales, Flight deck and Cabin crew management) with respect to the efficient delivery of the flying program incorporating all planned and Ad Hoc Requirements.
  • You will be within agreed operational window, responsible for clear and detailed communication to the H24 Customer Care Team  in advising of schedule and aircraft changes , technical and/or operational disruption affecting the customer experience and timely advice on agreed contingency and recovery solutions.
  • You will be responsible of team workload and related oversight/coaching leading to dedicated monitoring of the airline operations team conduct and capability, focusing on developing competence , learning and experience of all staff employed within the team.


  • Bachelor studies or equal by experience
  • 3+ years of experience within a planning function in the aviation sector
  • Leadership experience in a customer facing, technical or operational community
  • Knowledge on weather forecasting and aircraft performance is a plus
  • Stress resistant, getting the job done, even in difficult  and under pressure
  • A flexible style, adapting behaviors and policies according to the situations
  • Structured and coordinated, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to plan & organize projects and to coordinate between different parties.
  • A strong communicator with stakeholders across the business and third parties
  • Eager to learn and a born self-educator
  • This role requires strong business English, French & Dutch (written & spoken).
