The Support Services provide the company with the help and advice it requires in a variety of fields, such as finance, HR, legal expertise, communications and management.
 
Objective of the function: 
  • for all DPM:
    • oversee that business activities for their perimeter are compliant with the requirements of the BU Data Protection Framework & relevant European/national Data Protection legislation
  • for Senior DPM: 
    • define & govern the BU Data Protection Framework, in coherence with a.o. applicable ENGIE Group policies
    • ensure that Data Protection compliance is organised throughout the BU

Job description

Your mission
  • for all DPM:
    • ensure Data processings are properly documented
    • oversee Data Protection compliance
    • audit Data Protection compliance of suppliers
    • review Data Protection Assessments and validate improvement plans
    • handle Data Breaches, in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
    • provide support and training
    • create awareness
  • specific for Senior DPM:
    • define the BU Data Protection Framework
    • monitor BU Data Protection compliance and define action plans
    • ensure key Data Protection roles are filled in throughout the BU
    • animate the BU Data Protection Community
    • align with the ENGIE Group Data Privacy Manager
  • ensure “reasonable” compliance is reached, while being pragmatic and in a constructive discussion with internal and external stakeholders

  • proactively evaluate risks and mitigating actions

  • internal interfaces:

    • for all DPM:
      • Business Entity teams involved in Data Protection activities
      • business & IT Project Leaders
      • cybersecurity managers
      • Data Protection Support Office collaborators
    • for Advanced DPM – the above plus:
      • Business Process Owners
      • Business Entity ExCom members
      • Legal Councils
    • for Senior DPM – the above plus:
      • BU ExCom members
      • ENGIE Group Data Privacy Manager
  • external interfaces:
    • for Advanced & Senior DPM:
      • Data Protection Officers of Customers and Suppliers
      • Data Protection Authorities
      • Data Protection Experts

 

Profile

  • university degree in Law, Economics or equivalent
  • minimum experience in business operations, IT, law and security:
    • DPM: less than 5 years relevant experience, in some of the above domains
    • advanced DPM: > 5 years relevant experience, in most of the above domains
  • technical & business skills:
    • Data Protection laws & guidelines, concepts and principles
    • understanding of business activities:
      • business products & services
      • business operations
      • risks inherent to the above (process risks, contractual risks, security risks, risks for the Data Subjects,…)
      • measures required to mitigate the above risks
    • risk management
    • audit
    • security management
    • contract management
  • language skills: English, Dutch, French
  • behavioural skills:
    • analysing
    • conceptual thinking
    • convincing
    • negotiating
    • resilience to stress
  • people management skills (functional):
    • delegating
    • developing others
