Compliance & Internal Control Officer

Job description

Key responsibilities
  • Set up of transversal processes like for client/supplier audits, clearly indicating roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders
  • Coordinate and contribute to client/supplier audits, where you will act as a compliance contact for several customers (like Belgian banks) and / or suppliers.
  • Follow-up on relevant internal audits, which are performed by Group Internal Audit (GIA)
  • Contribute to the ISAE 3402 process in Belgium including the contacts with the auditor and deliver support to the equensWorldline business lines.
  • Contribute to compliance activities related to Belgian & European regulations for payment processors
  • Set up proper monitoring and reporting mechanisms for the Compliance & Internal Control department in Belgium
  • Coordinate, perform and contribute to compliance assessments
  • Contribute to compliance awareness, communication & knowledge
  • Limited travel in Europe (on average 2 days per month)


  • Bachelor or Masters Degree
  • You have around 3-5 years experience in Compliance/Risk, this can be as internal or as an external consultant
  • Knowledge of general IT related controls is preferred
  • Experience in the banking industry is a plus
  • You are Fluent in English and French or Dutch, a good level in the 3rd language is a plus
  • You have excellent communication skills, able to communicate at different levels in the company
  • You are curious and cooperative
  • You have a pro-active attitude and take initiatives to get things done within deadlines
