Job description

Job Purpose
  • The Brand Activation & Marketing Communications Specialist cooperates closely with Sales and Marketing in order to develop and implement a successful marketing strategy for Sony products.
  • The Brand Activation Specialist is responsible for improving the positioning of Sony at the retailers and for the optimization of the conversion rate and in house share at the assigned retailers. The Brand Activation & Marketing Communications Specialist takes care of creating profitable mutual partnerships between Sony and retailers. The Brand Activation & Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for our strategic accounts and Customer Investment sell out driver follow up.
  • The Brand Activation Specialist’s further role is to implement effective and timely trade marketing activities to a high standard in terms of brand, category and sales performance, balancing strategic objectives with tactical opportunities, in line with the dynamics of target consumers / shoppers and retailers’ positioning towards them.
  • You will be responsible for creating and organizing all Advertising and POS materials, as well managing projects like retailer and consumer events.
Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making
  • Understands Sony and Dealer target consumers / shoppers within the channel, and ensures that trade marketing approach is aligned to maximize the impact of communications
  • Builds strong relationships with dealers’ marketing contacts and other relevant personnel (eg training), maintaining and supporting the integrity of the AM’s relationships
  • Owns the Brand Activation fund and manages the investment plan behind all marketing activities
  • Maintains contacts and makes appointments with strategic retailers about marketing activities
  • Organizes and optimizes Sony point-of-sales presence that engage shoppers and lead to traffic generation and sales conversion
  • Point-of-sales brand activation activities
  • Point-of-sales material


Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in similar position in a retail organization, sales experience is preferred
  • Bachelor degree, Master degree is a preference
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • Business driven, proactive and entrepreneur mentality
  • Ambitious
  • Customer-, target- and result oriented
  • Has an open mindset towards, embraces and continuously initiates and implements change
  • Result-oriented mindset
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Excel
