The Support Services provide the company with the help and advice it requires in a variety of fields, such as finance, HR, legal expertise, communications and management. 
 
Objective of the function:
  • accelerate the digitalization of the BU as a whole: in its dealings with customers, in its services/solutions/products, but also in its internal activities
  • steer the Corporate Digital team and maximize the added value of the team and the whole digital line for the BU
  • animate the relevant communities & contribute to a cultural change
  • scout the external market & help the BU seize new opportunities
  • with regard to Digital, be the link with the Group

Job description

Your mission
  • strategy
    • help setting the strategic directions the BU will take
  • business development
    • with these strategic directions in mind: co-develop and roll out the BU's digital roadmap in close cooperation with the BU entities and Functional Lines
  • project management
    • build a close relationship with BU entities
    • promote convergence of customer or employee solutions where it makes sense, and thus contribute to optimizing each entity's investments and development costs
    • work with entity to analyze and prioritize the projects
    • promote the digital solutions already developed (reuse) by the BU entities and the Group or even other Bus
    • contribute to external growth projects in the technological/digital sphere in cooperation with the management teams of the BU entities
  • management
    • develop, lead and unify players in the BU’s Digital Line by devising appropriate management practices
    • contribute to people reviews/plans for the Line’s key positions
  • finance
    • develop a consolidated overview of the BU's digital budget and recommend areas for optimization, development and/or inter-entity arbitrage
    • put forward a budget and governance rules for the BU and oversees them
  • technological watch and Business Intelligence
    • coordinate key internal/external digital partnerships at BU level, keep abreast of these partnerships and inform the BU's Digital Line about them
    • conduct a diagnosis/inventory of the BU's and its entities' digital practices, cultures, solutions, tools, competencies and organizations
    • assess options for improvement and optimization, draw up recommendations
    • foster digital innovation and sharing of best practices among BU entities
    • identify key digital actors within the BU and the Group and externally (e.g. partners, advisors, suppliers, start-ups, incubators)
    • benchmarks best practices by competitors in the sector and regularly update the BU information. Organize technological watch
  • from strategy to execution: capacity to “zoom in” & “zoom out” very easily
  • complex (heavy) decentralized organization to transform
  • creative, flexible, stress resistant: person must show high agility and be able to adapt its attitude and objective in a quickly-changing environment

    • heads of BU entities, business departments & other key business players
    • digital & IT communities (BU & Group)

Profile

  • university degree or equivalent by experience
  • proven experience in the digital ecosystem
  • proven experience in a major digital transformation project
  • technical/business skills:
    • strategy definition and argumentation
    • ability to translate strategy into concrete roadmaps
    • ability to understand/challenge/transform business plans
    • technical knowledge related to the digital ecosystem
  • languages: Dutch, French, English
  • behavioural skills:
    • creativity
    • taking initiative
    • entrepreneurship
    • convincing
  • people management skills:
    • forming a (virtual) team
  • business understanding:
    • knowledge of the products & services we sell and want to promote in the future
