Analytics Scientist


Together with an experienced team, the Analytics Scientist develops both methods, data and tools that support the innovation projects and the growth of SIRIUS Insight.
The primary function of the Analytics Scientist consists of the analytical and technological support of the R&D activities of SIRIUS Insight.
Using various analytical techniques, he/she contributes to the construction of data.
He/she will participate in the development of specific algorithms and innovative solutions.
He/she will also work on the analytical and consultancy projects.


Required skills and knowledge:

  • Dynamic, curious, inventive and passionate about the technical facets of various developments.
Desired competencies:
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    The Analytics Scientist has the necessary skills to analyse a problem, propose realistic algorithmic solutions and support their implementation.
  • Ability to conceptualise and model elements.
  • Knowledge and usage of R.
  • Ability to develop an algorithm in a high-level programming language.
  • General knowledge of data storage systems and data management systems.
Experience and skills:
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar function.
  • Curiosity, flexibility and a scientific way of thinking that make it possible to offer original and innovative solutions.
  • Analytical and structured approach.
  • Creativity and interested in innovation.
  • Autonomous and able to learn independently.
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Scientific master with a good knowledge of mathematics, algorithmics and/or econometrics - or equivalent experience.
  • Mother tongue: Dutch or French.
  • Good practical knowledge of the other national language and of English.
