SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Functieomschrijving
The challenge: to control and manage process and product quality at suppliers in Europe and abroad.
Main responsibilities
1) The management of supplier quality in production phase:
* analyze reported quality problems with supplier parts
* compile corrective action reports upon rejections
* follow-up implementation of corrective actions / provide and report the quality metrics for supplier
2) Support and manage the launch of new projects:
* establish with suppliers and subcontractors the process of starting-up manufacturing of new parts
* perform FAI (First Article Inspections)
* perform the quality follow-up of the start-up
* provide transparency to internal customers
3) Develop the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors:
* identify improvement potential in suppliers quality process
* develop continuous quality improvement plans for supplier and subcontractor manufacturing processes
* implement and follow-up continuous improvement plans in co-operation with the buyer.
Profiel
Education: Civil or Industrial engineer
Languages: French, Dutch, English
Skills / Experience:
* Extensive experience in industrial manufacturing in an (international) mechanical company is a must; previous experience in a similar quality function is an advantage
* Thorough technical knowledge and interest
* Well developed analytical skills
* Sensitive to commercial aspects
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; capable to interact with senior management at suppliers
* Team-player
* Flexible and efficient
* Stress resistant
* Result oriented
* Takes initiative and displays a pro-active attitude
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office
* Open to travel frequently
