Senior System Analyst FSD (Fixed Service Delivery)

As a Sr System Analyst FSD (Fixed Service Delivery) you will join the existing FSD team. Your focus will be the liaison between end-users and IT, to understand, challenge and clarify the business needs. You will be responsible for the end to end functional design: produce business requirements and functional specifications to support IT in the development/configuration of the appropriate solutions/systems.
You will propose system or process lifecycle plans and integrate them with the team’s roadmap.
As a Sr System Analyst FSD,
- You listen to the users
You analyze and challenge the business, network and operational objectives and needs.
You facilitate meetings and work sessions to gather requirements.
You translate the needs into business process views, business requirements, data models, etc, taking into account the software capabilities and overall business architecture guidelines.
- You propose and validate the optimal IT solution
You analyze the processes and the requirements. You explore potential solutions, by discussing with your colleague system analysts, IT architects .
You identify the optimal solution, combining business objectives and technical feasibility (time, budget, quality).
You discuss and validate your solution with the project stakeholders.
- You make it happen
You define the test approach, together with end users. You create or facilitate the creation of the acceptance test book.
You assist the end-users on the steps to apply the necessary business changes.
You are responsible for documenting the overall solution and the associated processes and working methods, from an IT solution perspective.
- You coach
You coach your colleague System Analysts to grow in their role and deliver the highest quality.
You train the end-user’s trainers or define training strategies.
You have and maintain the central overview of end-to-end processes and enterprise architecture, you identify gaps, discrepancies or mis-alignment and propose solutions. Enterprise Architects are your friends.
If needed you assist outside your role specifications and communicate about possible solutions to fill in gaps.
On some projects, you take up the overall project coordination and delivery responsibility.
Profiel
Expertise, Knowledge & Skills
- University degree or equivalent through experience
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in service delivery systems: experience in business requirements capture, requirements and solution modeling, process modeling, requirements and test documentation.
- Understanding of fixed telecom services, such as xDSL, VoIP…
- Developed analytical skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Communication and listening skills
- Fluent in French or Dutch, and English. Combining all three languages is considered an extra asset.
Considered to be an asset:
- Basic understanding of programming languages, methods and architecture
- Project Management skills and knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Persuasiveness, influencing skills (capacity to challenge and convince)
- Presentation skills
