Senior Supply Chain Planning Analyst

The Supply Chain department is responsible for the design, planning, execution, control and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure and synchronizing supply with demand.
The incumbent works independently to perform Supply Chain activities for an assigned product portfolio to optimize inventory, minimize costs and set and achieve customer service goals. This includes forecasting, capacity planning, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results. He/she provides input for the SIOP process for a given business segment in order to align market and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities.
You maintain demand forecasts while reducing forecast errors. You work closely with marketing to decrease demand variations. You conduct SKU (Strategic Key Units) rationalization and other lifecycle management analyses. You lead the planning aspects of new product launches during the pre-launch phase. You complete complex spreadsheet analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning.. You leverage Lean or Six Sigma tools for process improvement in order to increase service and optimize inventory. You maintain Query databases for information required for decision-making. You provide oversight of manufacturing, inventory deployement and distribution to ensure customer service. You prepare Executive Level presentations as required. You serve as primary contact with manufacturing for planning issues. You conduct analysis and provide direction for inventory allocation where worldwide service is maximized. You determine new product ramp-up schedules. You determine ISS requirements in terms of weeks of sale for new product launches. You manage product phase-outs such that obsolete inventory is minimized. You establish and continously modify safety stock targets. You perform basic financial analyses.
Profiel
You speak fluently Englisch, any other European language is an asset. You have a bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations or MBA/MS in relevant discipline or equivalent trough experience.
For a bachelor degree we expect 4 to 9 years related experience and for a Master/MBA in relevant discipline 2 to 7 years related experience. Your computer skills are excellent in excel and good in MS-office. Working knowledge of planning systems / ERP. Knowledge of the program JD Edwards is a plus.
You have excellent analytical and communication skills and interpersonal skills. You are strong in forecasting by making use of forecasting techniques and informing at internal departments (sales, marketing, regulatory affairs). You have experience with inventory management and capacity planning.
Aanbod
Our client offers a contract of indefinite duration. You will report to one of the Supply Chain Managers. Remuneration is negotiable in relation to experience.
